What do the members of the Auburn Tuskegee Christian Church believe?
We believe in following the whole Bible to the very best of our ability. Though not an exhaustive list dealing with every area of our lives, the following are some of the essential beliefs we hold and some biblical references for each topic:
- That all we see bears witness and gives evidence of intelligent creation, thus we believe in God as the creator. (Genesis 1:1, Isaiah 42:5, Colossians 1:16)
- That the 66 books of the Bible are inspired by God and provide a God-ordained pattern for living our lives and learning about Jesus. (2 Timothy 3:16)
- Jesus Christ was the one and only Son of God, as he claimed. He walked upon the earth, was crucified and three days later rose from the dead. (John 2:15, John 14:6)
- God's plan, taught by Jesus, was that His followers would be called out from societies in which we live into a common community called the church of Christ. (Colossians 1:13-20, Romans 16:16)
